Meet speakers and students from all backgrounds for thought provoking speeches and discussion on the subject of Radicalisation and Reconciliation.

The event is open to people of all backgrounds aged 18 to 30.

The following people have confirmed to speak at the conference:

Rev Dr Leah E Robinson, Lecturer in Practical and Pastoral Theology at the University of Edinburgh. Author of: Embodied Peacebuilding: Reconciliation as Practical Theology.

Imam Usama Hasan, Quilliam International, Head of Islamic Studies at Quilliam and was a founding advisor to the counter-extremist organisation in 2008.

Mahrukh Shaukat and Gigha Lennox, participants in an interfaith youth leader exchange programme organised by Interfaith Scotland and the Church of Scotland in partnership with Al Waleed Centre, Al Maktoum College and PROCMURA (Programme for Christian and Muslim Relations in Africa).

Dr Jane Bentley, ArtBeat, Rhythms of Diversity, founder of ArtBeat, an organisation that specialises in music for community, communication, health, and social wellbeing. 

Mike Jervis, Active Change Foundation, an organisation which promotes a world free from terrorism and violence that values young people and communities.

Andrew Marin, Centre for the study of Religion and Politics, President and Founder of The Marin Foundation, award winning author and teacher at the University of St Andrews.

Place for Hope: Reconciling from the Edge, offers practical support, in the form of facilitated conversation, coaching and training, for individuals and faith groups "on the edge", encountering, facing difference and experiencing conflict.

Dr Maureen Sier, Director of Interfaith Scotland, has a PhD in Religious and Cultural Studies from Aberdeen University and has worked in the field of interfaith relations for over 16 years.
